how to get info on my hobby?

was surfing ard one of those boring, gloomy days when i chanced upon the MAS website on saw the pictures of the currencies that we have aft independence... was thinking of making a collection but i couldnt get any info on who prints our currencies and whether itz possible to get the legal tenders from the manufacturer directly...
tried to go to the s'pore mint for more info, but they told me they only deal with coins.. the only way it seems by far is to buy online from other pple or from those collections/hobbies stores...
wonder if anyone can suggest how i can get more info?
