in cambodia, where bribes can help u in almost anything.
a $5 USD notes is a driving license there, u can drive with no license, as long as u can give out $5USD when traffic police stop u. They live on bribes, the salary is far too low.
the firemen is even worse, when garment factories call for firemen when thier factory is on fire, the firemen will only send teams when finished talking price with u. ya, pay cash to them directly to them, if not, just let ur factory burn. decide urself which outcome cost more, burn the whole factor down with goods inside or pay them a few thousand USD per team.

in china, business man is willing to pay govt officials to buy/rent cheap lands. In china, most lands belongs to china govt itself, and the value of the land is decided by the officials there. So, if a piece of land is supposed to rent out at 20k RMB/mth, let say u want to sign a 2yr rental contract, if the offical is willing to reduce it to 15K RMB/mth, u save 5k/mth for 2yrs, which is 120k. decide urself how much u want to give the govt official for saving 120k for u. multipy the amount for longer contract or for buying the piece of land.
