Blind to the rules

Was going to open the mailbox just now and just nice, the postman was there.
Well, so with the new mailboxes, there is this big door that you open and can mail the stuff.
So I just looked past to my mailbox and saw that there was mail.
Ok.
When I decided to take it, I was told that I must have the key to the mailbox. Yeah. Not even an IC with the address to your home will work.
Good heavenly grief.
Can't people just bend the rules a bit? Just a tiny teeny weeny little bit on something that as mundane as opening a mailbox?
Well, I find it totally ridiculous, personally. -
usually no problem for me if i happen to see the lady when i open my mailbox
probably see few times liao..so sometimes..even when she haben finish..she will find my letters and pass it to me first.. -
maybe you got an untrustworthy face?

some are inflexible and think it's the right way but didnt realise how much inconvinience they brought to other people. perhaps they r afraid of getting into trouble also, u know people likes to complain over the smallest stuff nowadays.

It will just waste me a few more seconds for him to close the door and for me to take my key and open the mailbox.
Not much of a major inconvenience for me.
But I'm looking more towards the point on the ridiculous inflexibility. -

With the onset of terrorism, mailboxes have become high security issues.
Perhaps the mailman was worried abt antrax beta going round?
Anyhow, he's just following instructions.
