sigh when will it end? Both have already got their trump cards up their sleeves. This time Nvidia had switched over to Sony's camp while ATI to microsoft. Now we see even the PC players taking sides in the console war

MGS 4 and next FF installments are PS3 exclusives while Xbox is gearing up their Halo 3, Quake 4 and Perfect Dark 0 -

After that retire

But i personally think these fancy eyecandy has reached a saturation point.
How much better can it get? Personally PS3 and xbox 2 may have phototrealisitic graphics, a step up from the previous generation but the next gen in 2010 onwards will have nothing much to offer in terms of eyecandy.It will definetly reach a sat point. isnt it reaching now already. check out the graphics of ps3 and xbox 360, they seem identical with their older ancestors PS2 and Xbox...Previously it had been the booming market for 3d graphics when the games Alone in the Dark and Quake came about. Before that was doom which revolutionised 3D graphics. They slowly evolved with the Voodoo 3and TNT graphics card offering sharper smoother visuals. Somehow the net effect is lost after the PS2 and Xbox arrived.......
Xbox had been pretty successful so far and they will be successful this time too...This war could be a tough one for Sony since the blunder of Sega and their dreamcast enabled them to win a stronghold. But MS managed to break their monopoly. -

I think it is not interesting as before. remember the huge leaps from the 8 bit to 16 bit and the 16 bit to 32 Bit cd based fully 3D consoles in the 90s? Now that was pretty interesting. And what was more interesting was there there were kind of pseudo 3D consoles like the 3DO ,Neo Geo CD and others which tried to bank in on the new 3D revolution. it's the games available that will win the war, not the power of the consoles.
i'll personally go for ps3 simply because the games i play are only available on the ps3. xbox games are too american dumbed-for-the-idiots-shoot-kill-look i made her brain explode-hurhurhur -
