yeah man.. last time when i played 5 years ago my PC not that good, even tho i had broadband, but my graphics card was lacking. now i have a radeon 9800 and i dun play games at all..Originally posted by Lance_han:eh...of coz...they turret up the whole place..
same goes for the protoss as well...
but wtf..i still prefer mass rushes...
see will alsonot because of the numbers, but because u lag like siao

I agree. Protoss is the easiest to control. Simple and strong.Originally posted by Lance_han:hmm..realli??
i find of all the three, protoss the easiest
terrans do require abit of management...but quite fun to plae around wif...quite good in air...provide the missile turrets are plentiful
zergs...the masses...w00t
bulid and chiong,repeat till done
but airdrop not advisable...everione has a liking for the turrets espically when u near his base![]()
oh yes sorree my bad.. it's merging two DARK temps.. not HIGH temps.. ehehehe.. memory failing liow.. the (normal) archons are the ones with the lightning strike thing.. which imo are pretty useless. mostly used when high temps are out of energy, or when there are not many enemies around to zap. dun forget high temps are DAMN SLOW..Originally posted by WoShiNoobie:In the expansion, Blizzard let's you train Dark Templars and allow you to merge them like the High Templars giving you the Dark Archons. The Dark Archons cannot attack and is more of an offensive support unit.
Use the Mind Control Ability available to the Dark Archons to control the worker units of your enemy and there you can build another army of another race.
the high templars not very useful in combat... once no energy = free kill... lolOriginally posted by jOhO:oh yes sorree my bad.. it's merging two DARK temps.. not HIGH temps.. ehehehe.. memory failing liow.. the (normal) archons are the ones with the lightning strike thing.. which imo are pretty useless. mostly used when high temps are out of energy, or when there are not many enemies around to zap. dun forget high temps are DAMN SLOW..![]()
controlling many units at one time is easy. just drag ur mouse all over the screen to select and point destination on micro map "argar argar" when they reach, AI will take overOriginally posted by findingnewidea:I agree. Protoss is the easiest to control. Simple and strong.
Zerg needs to control many units at a time. Need a quick hand. If a bit slow, no problem, the AI will help you anyway.
Human, oh my godness, a lots of micromanagement. Simple induction, a lot of micromanagement means it is hard to control. A very good Terran player might be only equivalent to a upper middle Protoss player.
Like a Kung Fu master versus a Kung Fu idiot armed with gun. Who has the higher chance to win?
eheh well of course depends on scenario.. u always have other troops around to protect. AI will always fire enemies that are firing at them, so if u have other troops around the temps merging, they will be attacking, and also drawing fire, unless the player micros his troops to whack the merging temp.Originally posted by WoShiNoobie:the high templars not very useful in combat... once no energy = free kill... lol
and merging in middle of battle... also not much hopes of merging successfully...![]()
it's rareOriginally posted by jOhO:good boy, but it's not a complete answer..
archons (produced by merging two high temps) are the ones that can do mind control. but u should mind control an SCV and a DRONE, THEN ONLY u can build the full race.
u need the SCV to build terran bldgs to produce other units, u dun need a command centre, but then building will be slow, so i usually build a CC just to make more SCVs then save space by letting it fly one corner, or just destroy it when i have enuff SCVs...
the drone of course, is needed for your building but u DEFINITELY need a hatchery becos u lose a drone each time u build.
that's why i say only LONG game then u can do this...
Made my own fleet of that before... sick shit...Originally posted by Lance_han:it's rare
but fun....imagine battlecrusiers working alongside protoss carriers...

or as i mentioned about, u can assign max of 12 units to a hot key. go to area u wanna attack, hit the hot key and press a and select where u wanna attack and repeat for all other group assigned hot keys.
have u seen koreans play terran? i think a fren of mine once sent me a video file of a pro korean terran player. he hardly touched his mouse.. everything is hot key, and i believe he even has hot keys for certain INDIVIDUAL units. i forgot how many hotkeys can be assigned to units liow.. i guess it's just 10?
it's great when a terran player knows his micro.. and he's hell powerful. i never really mastered terran in my haydays, which is something i am disappointed with at the time. protoss and zerg i close eyes and play, very well versed.
u can tell i took this game very seriously last time.![]()

hahahahaa...works okie for the terrans but if the opponent's protoss..Originally posted by DriftingGuy:Zerg is all about macro management... By right if done properly, your opponent will never have a chance to expand or rest while you send increasing wave after wave .. meanwhile you build many many hives around the whole map![]()

Actually, I really like to see the 'Final Battle' in the end game, where Terran and Protoss are so equal in strength and develop a huge fleet of air units, including dozens of Battle Cruissers and Carriers. The final play is really tense and attracting! You won't know who will be the last standing in the last deciding war...Originally posted by Lance_han:it's rare

...yea...trueOriginally posted by findingnewidea:Very agree!
Terran can't match Protoss and Zerg makes me feel that the game is lacking something. Making it incomplete.
Only those high hand players can really fully utilize Terran. But that is only minority. And they really need to play hard and afford no careless mistakes... Hard.
Talking about turret, I think that is a stupid building in Starcraft! Zerg and Protoss all got ground attack building, only Terran got nothing. Don't tell me the bunker where you need to use up your supply to man your marine inside.Originally posted by Lance_han:hahahahaa...works okie for the terrans but if the opponent's protoss..
eh...carriers+ defense turrets will take care of tat junk...![]()
eheh yeah.. i feel it's the easiest race to start off learning SC in, but the hardest to master.Originally posted by findingnewidea:Very agree!

it's nice to bulid them, but they do take up a lot of resources...Originally posted by findingnewidea:Actually, I really like to see the 'Final Battle' in the end game, where Terran and Protoss are so equal in strength and develop a huge fleet of air units, including dozens of Battle Cruissers and Carriers. Protoss is even shame. Units are so strong already. The photo cannon can hit both ground and air. Really shame...
