I see. Maybe this is the only way to have better balance in the game. I feel that Warcraft III has a better balance. No obvious winner race.Originally posted by the.raven:ok this is the way I see it, grunt is just a more powerful version of footmen, tauren, knight, abom are counterparts of one another. each race has similar tech trees. etcetc.
err....Originally posted by findingnewidea:Would be good if Starcraft 2 has hero element (like Warcraft III). Every unit should have some kind of experience upgrading.
Wait! My imagination runs wild. Can it become something like MMORPG that every one plays a single unit role in the game? For example, I will be playing a Zergling among other huge Zerg army to run to Human base. I control nothing but the Zergling.
There is some ranking system that a general is giving order. Zergling that wins war will promote to Zergling lord that commands more Zergling...
Sound interesting...
without using cheats.Originally posted by FireIce:w/o using cheat codes?
Really? been looking around all p2ps also dont have. only got the stupid zerg radio, so irritating, so gross, so disgusting.Originally posted by the.raven:I do, gimme your email, i can send to you![]()
Perhaps 'Jim Raynor, Level 7 Marine' with 'True Shot Aura' doesn't make much sense.... maybe they can change it to 'Targeting Network'? Then the shooting accuracy of the surrounding marines will get bonuses.Originally posted by the.raven:err....
well personally I dont want heros in starcraft 2. in warcraft it is medival setting, a hero can have a huge effect on the soldier's morales. but in starcraft its futuristic war, you shoudlnt have "Jim Raynor, level 7 marine" running around with his "true shot aura", that is lame.
zerg radio ok what, serve the hive, feel the groove...Originally posted by FadeToBlack:Really? been looking around all p2ps also dont have. only got the stupid zerg radio, so irritating, so gross, so disgusting.
Oh come on, I was just trying to throw out idea.Originally posted by the.raven:err....

and also the way zerg works is overmind control cerebrate, which in turn controls overlords who control the basic units. there is no such thing as a zergling commander.
me me me! awesome scene...Originally posted by Cindyfeh:I remember there is a terran scenario where you need to protect a female terran solider called Terra or something like that and also the proteos from ther zerg. The scenario ends when you as the terrans, successfully protect the proteos, but unfortunately, there was a mad rush of zergs which eventually capture your female solider. Later she become some zerg queen or something. The ending mad rush once started, you can't control your terran units, but you can watch the rush and it lasted for like 1 or 2 minutes.
I enjoyed watching the mad rush alot. I remembered I managed to positioned all my bunkers, battlecruisers, siege tanks, and what ever fire power i had at bottom of the 2 or 3 rams where the zergs rush down. When the ending mad rush started, i would sit back and watch the incredible zerg frying scenes. It was pretty awesome. I actually fried all the zergs, and so the female terran should be safe. But alas, the story line was fixed, she was still captured.
Anyone remember that scenario?
So serious? This is the first time I heard people spoke about their own gaming experience with such a solemn tone...Originally posted by jOhO:i hope there won't be a SC2... if not.. my life my go down the drain...
lucky i was never a WC player so i have never touched WC3.
i was addicted to D2 too.. but not as bad as SC.. SC took up many years of my life..![]()
ahhah.. did it come out so serious? well it was serious sh it that time lar.. spent WAYYY too much time on it.. but that was when i was much younger i guess.. now really too busy to play, so even of sc2 comes out.. who knows i might not even buy it. be it the lack of time to play, hence no justification to spend the money, or fear that it could be addictive... prob a mixtur of both.Originally posted by findingnewidea:So serious? Ya, in our time, WC is VERY POPULAR...Originally posted by FireIce:started off with WC....
then got acquainted with SC then i totally dumped WC
cos i fallen in love with the zergs.......
another one i like is age of empires.......
though not as good-looking as zergs and the game pace is slightly slower
Actually Warcraft 3 is better. On higher end computer, the graphics of WC3 looks much better. I knew it because my lower end computer couldn't handle the graphics well too. I came to 'wow' when I saw it on other computer.Originally posted by parn:Playing Starcraft at the moment, it's so much better than warcraft3...playability, graphics is good..just that the resolution is pretty low 640x480.
Didn't like the polygonal graphics of warcraft3, looks devilishly similar to Battle Realm.
agree! great summary there.Originally posted by blecap:i am a harcore sc player, all races r equally balance..except that toss is abit weak, thats y all those leagues in korea or wcgc..none toss got 1st..terran and zerg r very strong
the level of micro/macro varies from diff matchup for eg..zerg v terran, terran requires massive amt of micro and zerg requires macro more
protoss v zerg, toss need micro and macro,,zerg just hold those lurker containment so micro and macro too
zerg vs zerg massive micro and luck
terran vs terran territory matchup and smartness
toss vs toss = macro and micro
in my experience, for newbies learning these races,,terran and toss is easy, zerg kinda hard..when u reach some standard level..terran/zerg hard
eheh.. prob lose very horribly.. but i dun even know where my CDs are man..Originally posted by blecap:lol sure
1:1? where do u wan it?
