S'pore and Brunei currency

  hey people. i was just wondering about this. why is it that s'pore's currency and brunei's currency are always on par with each other? did both countries come out with some kinda agreement that the value of both currencies to be equal?
  hmm, anyone has any idea why?? thank you in advance.

  I think that's because the singapore mint prints currency for brunei, that's why our currencies have the same value. It's said that u can use brunei currency in singapore

  Via the Currency Interchangeability Agreement since 1967, Singapore and Brunei are allowed to "interchange their currencies at par". Meaning, I can use Brunei dollars in Singapore and vice versa....

  hmm, why would spore want to peg their currency to the brunei currency? whats the reason behind this? any economical motive?

  they are pegged to us not the other way round.
  
  it is actually beneficial to us. if our currency is under pressure brunei will be obliged to support.

  although same value but i still dun like to hold on to brunei notes
  if i get one, i will faster spend it

  realli?? i never use brunei or get brunei notes before.. all stores will accept?? will there be stores where the aunty sua ku like me.. thn dun accept?

  Leading Departmental store will accept such notes, but maybe those people at the econ minimart might not accept it.
