Preserving a Poster

  I got a large movie-poster size poster (Anime poster). Not very valuable but I would like to display it to decorate the room.
  
  I know that color will fade over time and I would like to know if laminating it will help preserve the colour if i were to display it.

  If you are really serious about preserving the poster in its original form, then frame it up like what art galleries and private collectors do.
  
  Depending on how you look at it, laminating the poster is, in effect, destroying the poster. While laminated, the paper inside would still oxidise and turn yellowish, albeit at a slower rate.

  Slower rate? 3-4 yrs?

  May be longer than that. Depends on the paper quality and the position you hang the poster, too. Exposure to direct sunlight accelerates the oxidisation process.
