  once they start charging plp for bags, plp will start to bring their shoppings everytime they shop at least thats what the older generations will do... trust me... even if the bag is $0.05 it's too expensive.
  
  actually, that's happening in taiwan right now. everywhere you go, if you need a bag, you'll be charged $1 TWD ~$0.05 SGD. this campaign is so successful, the people there have already cultivated this good habit of bringing their own bags while shopping.

  just like in fastfood restaurants, the salary of that ah ma who clear yr tray is also INCLUDED in the price of yr burger....

  This has been happening in many developed european countries for a long time. More environmentally conscious nations charge for carriers in supermarkets like France and Switzerland. They've also already made packing the customer's problem, unlike over here where fair price cashiers double as grocery packers.

  In UK i paid 1 pound for a plastic bag and tray mat ...
  so wat if i made to pay in sg ..think 50cents is ok.
