u cant find these in pet shops. They belong to the family of parrots called conures....they are extremely rare and highly endangered species.
No chance u will ever see them in petshops other than Bird park

there is another parrot which looks like Queen of Bavaria called Indian ringnecks which looks a lighter yellow in colour. U can find them in pet shops

Maybe get one as my pet. this is a prized bird and will cost a bomb. When i go to Aus , maybe i will try searching there.

yeh why not, if u want it. Btw conures like the queen of bavaria have a long lifespan too around 15-20 years. There are many types of conures yes but the queen of bavaria has got an excellent orange plumage which is strking hence the expensive price. Same as with the birds of paradise or other singing birds.. I dont think u can ever get one on Sg unless someone has manage to bring it in. There is a reason why it is called Queen becuase it is a prized bird.....
They are rarely seen in the wild and are extremely rare in aviculture. In the United States they require 50CFR captive bred endangered species permit. They were noted as becoming increasingly rare as far back as 1946. -

the collectors are as RARE as the bird itself. -
the closest u might be able to find are Sun conures in local pet shops. Think they are not the same as Queen of Bavaria conures....

compare the Sun conure with Queen of Bavaria. I thinkt he Queen of bavaria is more exotic. Sometimes birds of plain single colours are more ex.
