Do dogs get more violent as they age

It seems so, yesterday while my dog was waiting for me to wear my shoes to go to the park, a passer-by came near us. Usually my dog would run into house if a stranger comes close. But this time it went to attack her instead...OMG,it was so unexpected! I was utterly shocked. What happen to my innocent and easily scared dog. What's wrong with her?

Hello.....I don't know what might be the reason, but dogs do not get more violent as they age. A puppy who turn into a teenager may start to show more assertiveness as they turn into teenage and adult years. But after a dog has reached its full adulthood, as years pass, it won't get more and more violent. In fact when it's getting old/ senior, the metabolism slow down.
I don't know why ur dog attack the stranger, but it's probably unrelated to age. Probably something else.
I recommend surfing dog-websites, they are really good for pet owners. -
Sometimes when dogs sense something is wrong or feel uncomfortable... they do turn aggressive. Actually when your dog attacked the stranger, it can be a good sign. It's shows that your dog is protective of you.... not that you should encourage that which i dont think you wanna haha.... but if your dog happens to randomly attack someone again, tell your dog to leave immediately in a very firm way. If your dog is the type who listens to you very well and often, your dog will know that you mean business and quite likely to not repeat the action after a period of time.

well my grandad got more cranky as he aged..who knows??LOL..well its hard to say la,cuz you will never know what the dog is feeling at this particular moment of time..

My dog gets more grumpy and growls more easily as he aged. He does show more aggression, but he hasn't bitten anyone yet.

Menopause could be a reason in female dogs....from what I saw from my ex's dog
The dogs I kept before are all male and I never had a temper issue with them except for the last one who bites anyone that is not part of the family. He is super territorial. -
