  It wasn't everyday that you will meet a superstar like Raul, and I readily thank my lucky star beneath my breath when I had the chance to meet him in person thanks to IOC that passed recently..
  
  Up close and personal, he is like your everyday peasants on the streets, except he oozes class when he talk, walk or just a simple gesture: just like me.. Being one of the best soccer players around in recent years, meeting him is just like a dream come true.. I blamed the absence of machismo in my upbringing for my reluctance to indulge in one of the more glamorous profession in the world else I will be a famous footballer just like him..
  
  That few minutes that I'd spent with him, we talked about: what else but soccer and I am glad that I am able to provide him a few tips that I've learned while playing for my school team.. From defending to attacking and some tactics that I've read on books over the years..
  
  It was over like a flash and we talked as though we were old time friends.. We exchanged contacts and being the gentleman that he is, he even invited me over to the famous Bernabeu stadium which I politely declined due to my ever increasing workload.. I asked for his autograph before we bade each other good luck and goodbye as it renews my belief in superstar who was often arrogant and snobbish when it comes to public meeting.. What a player and I am sure I will remember him for as long as I live..
