  read the passage at a moderate pace......
  
  when answering questions, maintain eye contact with the examiners.......
  no need use simi big words.......just answer simple and straight to the point.......
  
  shuo duo cuo duo........esp if u are the not very confident type

  I took my 'A' levels chinese oral last year. Based on experience, unless you are those Jia Kan Dang type... or you can't speak a single word of mandarin...
  
  Passing would be easy, but if you're talking about achieving merit or distinction, that's entirely different thing...
  
  THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR
  
  - Fluency (Try not to startle, even if you encounter unknown words)
  - Confidence (Speak like you're reporting news, try not to be nervous)
  - Pronunciation (Don't Pronounce EVENING as "pang2 wan3, it's bang4 wan3)
  - Loudness Of Speech (Don't speak like a mouse)
  - Knowledge Of Words (There will be 1 or 2 sheng1 ci2, so be prepared)
  - Impromptu Responses (Hua4 Ti2 must respond promptly and maturely)

  if the oral topic to talk about is not my interest....even if speak angmoh i arso fail
  
  if the oral topic to talk about is in my interest...even speak bird language i orso no need to prepare can get extinction
  
  so where do our education system failed? or is it our grading system that faltered?
