LOST related to War of the Worlds?

  In LOST, the plane crashed and yet no one comes to look for the survivor. Why?
  
  I suspect the plane flew past one of those EMP lightning in War of the Worlds and crashed.
  
  The rest of the world didn't come to find the survivors because they are being attacked by tripods. Even if the tripods are gone, the rest of the world will be busy rebuilding and most prob forgets about our survivors.

  I believe the plane might be carrying a cargo of animals. It is simple logic if some humans survive, some animals will survive and thus the polar bear.
  
  It should be a leopard which ate the pilot. Leopards always carry carcus up trees.

  Passenger planes will never carry atomic bombs.
