Hi guys, i am currently considering wearing contact lenses.. can anyone advise me more on contact lenses? And contact lenses solutions? thankx..

Me! used for 14 yrs from last time hard contact lenses to soft lenses. I forgot brnad of my contact lenses but solution am using AOSept, with a metal disc below.
SO far love the solution as it is suitable for lazy ppl who dun like to cleanse n wash.
I can't tahan disposables, ok when just wear but after a while become blurr vision. Mayb i have special curvage on my cornea.

Use disposable- can check with optical shops, they may be able to give u a free trial pair

im using disposable ones by bausch and lomb.. no probs so far.. and using renu solution.. always have good offers =D

I use "Complete".. perm soft lenses.
if u r a newbie, try to start with perm lens first..... the disposable lens are a bit "fragile" and might be more difficult to put on....
only when u r more use to it then use the disposable ones... -
I been using Focus Dailies (daily disposable lenses).
It hasn't really gimme any problems..
and it is quite cheap.
I bought for 28 per box, but I think the retail price is actually $35 per box.
You will need 2 boxes per month ( 2boxes = 30 pairs).
Don't need any solution coz it's daily disposable lenses. -
I heard that O2 optics from ciba vision is quite good.. it's a premium lens.. and can actually last u for 6 days and nights without removing it? It's a monthly 1.. Other contact lens can only last for 8 hrs ar? Solution wise, Solo Care gives u the first and number 1 in the world silver ion casing. And it's selling at a cheaper price..

contact lenses these day very cheap. i bought mine for $120 for 1 yr supply, that's $10 per month. im sure got ppl can get even cheaper than that. I'm using mediflex

I think disposables are good because they are generally easier to maintain and more hygiene...
Generally speaking, monthly disposables are much cheaper than daily... But if you're the very lazy type or you hardly wear your contacts, getting daily might be a viable option too? -
I'm wearing perm soft-lenses, cos i dun wear it often, and only wear it for sports... Solution- using AO Sept. Most opticians will recommend this as it disinfects the lenses quite thoroughly. But becos the solution is quite strong, not everyone's eyes can take it.
If you're buying perm lenses, the solutions you'll need are 1) a Disinfectant, 2) a daily cleaner 3) enzyme tablets.. OR you can replace all these with All-in-one solutions, but IMO, it doesn't clean very well.
nowadays, the rage is lasik, cos it cost abt 2k per eyes, and u'll be able to start seeing things in abt a day. -

but YES i m the super lazy type.. and sometimes if i stay out late.. i can change my contact lens mah..

then when i reach home.. oredi so tired leh~~~ still must use solution wash wash wash..

Acuvue Daily Disposables. Cos I only wear them when I go diving. Very comfortable soft lenses.

I used to wear 'focus day and night'... Can wear them to sleep comfortably...? Not until they start to give me trouble despite me keeping them clean... Only around 3 days and my eyes were already red swollen on 3 occasions.. That's when I totally gave up on them... -
it's not advisable to wear ur contact lens to sleep.
