NKF wake up call for me

Good thing i never donated to them. Next time i will think twice about donating to such charity organisations. Might well donate to some buddhist temples who are sincere in helping people

How can such an organisation like NKF do this? beginning to have doubts about Singtel and other such organisations who have close ties with NKF. -

I think we should forget about donation for a long long time,wah lao,that is obsense sia,30 years of reserve.Meaning that if we do not donate for 30 years,NKF will still have enough from all the donations gathered so far to give the same amount of treatment as they presently give for the needy people

Mr Davinder Singh also told the court that the NKF has enough reserves to last it for 30 years, based on the expenses it has incurred for dialysis treatment in 2003. -

Everyone may have lost trust in NKF but that cannot be the reason to stop donating to charity mah..It is wrong on their part for not being more transparent but they indeed has done charitable deeds ah..
If everyone really stop donating because of this, then what will happen to those patients??Even with reserves that can last 30 yrs..Are u so sure that the number of patients will not rise and the medical cost will not rise too??It is alway better to save for rainy days as u never know what will happen in the future ah..
U donate money is out of ur kindness..Ur aim is to help the needy..As long as they become more open with their operation cost, there shouldn't be any problems.. -
If the newspaper have written correctly $25 million dollars goes to playing the executive, the whole bunch of wolves should be responsible, not just the head.

What is to say they do not do more cover up later once this has died down?And even if they do open up to be more transparent,how much of this "transparency" can be trusted.
Yes we donate out of kindness with aim to help needy but at present,it seems more like donation to fill those high up's pockets -

Increasing their transparency and exposing their inner workings is one thing... what they do with donors' money is another. If they still spend a substantial proportion of donors' money on their own spending, then it doesn't matter whether they're transparent or not.
By the way, we have the KDF: Kidney Dialysis Fund. If you're concerned that money may not be going to the kidney patients because of this episode, people can always donate to the KDF. -
durian king say he work 18 hrs per day,alot ppl also work long hrs like him but how many can get the salary he is getting?like he sacrifice alot leh

As for the show, they might scare people complain why spend this amount of money on the show..Or maybe there isn't any expense at all..Since it is charity, i suppose those sponsor and mediacrop will sponsor the show..As for the artistes that took part in the show, I guess they don't even get paid for coming..Those oversea artistes maybe just get their air ticket and hotel covered only..Who knows right?? -

Its not a matter of ji jiao or not... Do you know that some patients might need the amount to survive.... And now they can last 30 years... I rather hope help can be channel to other organisations which spent higher percentage of donation received to real cause..... We got aunties who dun work but donates their hard-earned money, wishing to relieve some pain/worries in these patient...
