anyone realised that all the recent incidents happened on Wednesday?
15th Jun - Naval Diver at CNB
22nd Jun - Pl Sgt at BMTC
29th Jun - 2WO at 3DIV Jurong Camp
13th Jul - Commandos at SBAB
food for thought.
maybe we can go to 4-day work week and rest on every Wednesday.
anyway, there is a official order sent down not to reveal the identity (including nationality) of the foreigner so insiders pls refrain from revealing it. all i can say is tat he came from an ASEAN country.
he was given a sent-off to his home country at a military airbase here at 2pm today. -
i think the commandos need to be blessed. last year this time, the soc also has a number of deaths. the dunking case, a ranger trainee died after running. this year worse. heard that the sg that died practising the maritime security was a sof trainee. then a red lion injured himself frm a jump, now 2 died when doing repelling.
heard frm some sources that before cdo hq was shifted to its present location hendon, it was also situated somewhere in changi also. and every year there are cases of death involving commandos back there.

Yeah i also think so... This is terribly sad. I know this guy. All this recent deaths of nsmen may be a sign that we are pushing our NSmen too hard... without adequet rest. SAF needs to take some time out to relook their training methods...
