Have uploaded some files, used it for a month then totally forget about it since it's free to sign up.
Until today, out of sudden they email me saying I own them money. Saying from June 2004 it's a payable services charging me US$5.95 per month from June till now.
I have not receive any informations of changes of this services nor did I sign anything to agree them to charge me.
Their invoices started in June but never email me until today (15 July 2005). Invoice receive one year later?? Only today then I receive a whole series of email invoices stating from June 2004 but was send out today. They wanted to charge me about US$80 for everything.
My questions:
Do I have any legal duties to them, since I sign nothing?
Do I ever need to response to them?
What should I do?
You can just ignore them. Because you never agree to pay them in the first place. If they want to convert from a free service to a pay service, they must first contact you to give you that option, which they failed.
Anyway you can totally ignore them. Also they cannot sue you as they change term and condition that you did not agreed. Next how can they sue you from USA, also to sue you they need to spend money, which is more then that 80 ++ . It is just a scare tactics .... just ignore them.
