Why does Singaporeans like to stare at each other?

  Irritating dont u find it? Are hey staring to compare themselves with u due to their inferiority complex ?
  
  In other countries i been to , i dont get such stares, people mind their own business. Why here?

  Ya,that's something I wanna voice out all along! Locals like to tiao3 each other! Especially fit looking guys amongst themselves! In ang mo countries,there is no such culture.Even those with very guai4 lan3 faces will just give you a 1 sec look and then look away!

  staring incidents are rampant in the 70s-80s. a good reason to initiate a gang clash.

  Very small country so you will come across someone who has seen you before...so you look familiar to them? Thats all...

  like in the morning train...everytime when i feel that someone is staring at me, i turn my head and look, and really! there's always 30-40 years old auntie or girls in their 20s staring at me lor! (often is those office girls) so rude one! then i stare back. then they still stare at me in the eye leh! wa...bth...sometimes can really feel the anger building up in me. i guess that's how fights start out ba.
  please don't stare at ppl!!! really makes one feel uncomfortable or irritated! really really rude!

  yea...i agree its a thing about pride...it seems like you gain a "moral" victory if you stare at someone and the person sort of "backs down" and stop looking at you...
  i admit i do it sometimes..though its quite stupid...

  If i see a chiobu, I will look at her whens she not looking then turn around when she looks at me.. what to do, some of them really damn chio wat.. of course i dont do it too often, and i disguise it with side glances..
