  the rate changes annually, if I not wrong the ceiling this year is $1,600 or less.

  aiyoheh... i dun even think ur income tax hit 1k... there are pple out there earning ard 35k/annum are income tax only ard $600-700... if u count on day by day basis, one day u dun even pay $2... think of the stability of the country n how other pple in other countries are struggling to make ends meet n i dun think u will mind so much..

  Interestingly, income tax is a relatively new concept. The US govt in the 1700s and 1800s did not have income taxes. They use other forms of taxes to gain revenue.
