  NUMBER ONE THING, the chinese word "DA MEE (whatever it's spelled)", is not rice but CORN.
  
  so i guess it should be "mice like corn".

  DA MI (chinese) is how china mainlanders use to describe the rice; since the song writer was from there.
  corn is probably DA MAI or something but i understand that da mai is wheat.
