Digital enhancement of jpg photo- need help

I have a small sized photo......But the prob is when i enlarge it it becomes blur, how do i enlarge the photo so that it retains the original resolution and clarity. I searchd the net for tips but found out that the .jpg file is limited by its original size and resolution. The prob is i had seen hollywood movies where they enlarge a small fraction of a photo to enormous proportion still retaining or enhancing the original clarity and resolution...how do i do it? any programs ut there can do it including MS office ect?

unless the small pix itself has high resolution, but mostly people creating thumbnails will reduce the resolution to save on file size.

AboutAGal, it is impossible to create high resolution image from low resolution image. The information scientists call it entropy.
You can only go from high to low res, not the reverse.
Of course Photoshop can help you to a certain extent but there is a limit.
In Photoshop, open your image, click Image, Image Size, Change the pixel there, remember to select resampling (choose bicubic for better result).
Anyway bear in mind, the result won't be satisfying! -
