Is it a trend to show your butt?

I know it's been some time that hipster is the no. 1 popular jeans design among youngsters.
But today, at Bishan Junction 8, I saw a girl standing in a short distance from me. Not only she is showing her crack, anyone could see 1/3 to half of her butt. I didn't know hipsters nowadays are so low.
Soon, she looked into a reflection and saw it herself. And you know what? I thought she was going to pull up her jeans. But NO! She pulled down her blouse instead to cover her butt. Her blouse was not exactly long, btw.
After a while, when she moved her body, the blouse shrink back up and her butt was showing again.
Is it something wrong with the youngsters these days?
Did she wear her big brother's oversized jeans or what?
Or am I too old fashion (Showing butt crack very cool these days ah?)

because it's fashionable. only cheena ppl wear their jeans that high. once i saw a teenage guy whoose dressing is so out of date. striped polo tee and his pants are like really high... with brown leather belt. looks gay.
