i was doing this flag day thing ... selling the national day pins
wahh
then a lot of people shunned us
never mind ... at least they got apologise to us
but there was this indian guy
he was suspicious of us
then when we showed him the pass
he said this
"You think i don't know you just print out this paper and go around conning people right?"
...
i don't understand
why in the first place would we con people?
and even if you are conned
at least you have the pins right?
haiz...
and another thing
realised that most of the foreginers are much more generous than singaporeans
most lah ...
not all of course... -

A lot of people acting as mute with printed and laminated papers out there selling soft toys... So... it's common for people to suspect. I don't buy these things as well...

there are cheats everywhere. most of us are just salary man. (i am not even one) it is ridiculous to expect us to dish out money while the government sit behind and do nothing. it is becoming unbearable.

That indian guy's comments were uncalled for. At the very most, he could have declined politely.
However, the main issue is that the gahmen chooses not to intervene in such situations, especially when they continue to encourage more flag days and more donations.
As a result, it seems that EVERY SAT is now flag day? This will hardly inspire people to donate and with the recent NKF problem still to be settled, people are more likely to avoid 'flaggers' like plague.
