How come my laptop mousepad siao siao ???

Hi all, i really need some advices on this problem of mine. I just purchased an Acer laptop about 2wks ago.. Somehow, my mouse scan's a bit weird, in that when i use my finger to move the mouse pointer, somehow it kinda jumps.. I mean, say i move to this particular spot on the screen, once a while, the pointer will jump away from that pt... Its like a form of resistance to going to that particular desired spot... One friend said that its normal in the usage of laptop's mouse scan cos its very very sensitive, another friend said that its not common, and that there may be faults with the mouse scan... Btw, i have not use a wired mouse yet... Thanks once again and cheers ! By the way, did i made a good choice in buying Acer TravelMate 4152LmI...

disable the mousepad and then attach a USB mouse

since your laptop is still new you prob don't hv much data in it, try reformatting loh.

or try reinstalling ur inbuilt 'mouse'
using a external mouse is wat every laptop user will do -_-"

No knocks.... No wet hands.... Have u had similar probs?? By the way, i got this Acer recovery disk.... Is that what u mean by reinstalling the inbuilt mouse???? Also, i dun mind using a mouse, but i just wanna know if this problem is actually a real problem with the manufacturing, and if so, at least i can go have it solved, then buy a usb mouse... when i first bought my laptop, my curser won't move when i used Word.
in the end had to do reformmatting then no more problems already. -

May i ask what kind of mouse are u using? Some optical/wireless mouse very sensitive... -

i never encountered this problem before despite using so many notebooks... -
try this to see if it works if u dun want to reformat the lappie:-
start
control panel
mouse
pointer option: ('motion' make it point to somewhere in the middle; tick 'enhance pointer precision' and tick 'hide pointer while typing')
