hi,
i've been wanting to work in those small shops selling handphones etc.
now, assuming that they'll not advertise in the papers for the next few weeks and i don't have the patience to wait day by day, should i call them up one by one and ask if they're hiring?
(i got their numbers from newspaper ads lah)
is this a norm in SG? thick-skin right? despo? will they freak out? -

i thought 999 outta 1000 SG folks all search the Classifieds before they find a job, instead of making the first move instead?
i kinda scared that the potential employers will get shocked that there's actually job despos who's doing this leh.
the other thing i wanna confirm is : in general and on average, what is the busiest period of the day when most handphone shops have the most customers/is the busiest?
because i intend to call only when they're more free. is it during moring? 9 - 10 am? during noon? or maybe 2 pm - 4 pm? or at night?

KNN......you know what is called lao-jiao anot? when you're lao-jiao already, u can do a lot of things by-left one, no need to by-right. u should know that when you're in the army. army so strict also can by-left, what about these shops?

anyone, when i say "special deals", i don't mean give you the mobile phone for free lah. i mean like deduct a further S$10 for you because you help me etc. mah.

KNN lah......i really got problem leh. just ORDed last week and now miss army.
by the way, when you all guys ORDed, do u find some difficulties adjusting to civilian life? surely got one right? now i like cannot fit in leh.....like a whole new world to me leh. KNN.......very agonizing leh. anyone got any serious advice anot?

If you are serious about working in handphone shops, you shall visit those shops personally and see if they want to hire. Don't think most of them bothered to advertise at Classified asking people. A waste of money anyway....

yah lah, but calling is more practical mah. the shops located all around SG.......crazy lah.
but almost all of these shops are branches of a main company right?
like Star5 Technologies, Active8, v2 Communications Pte Ltd, WYWY Communications, all got lots of exclusive and smaller branches all around SG.....
should I call the main company(HQ of Star5 Technologies, HQ of Active8, HQ of v2 Communications Pte Ltd.....) instead of calling each indivivual branches?
(because i think the bosses of these indivivual branches no power/authority to hire people leh)
