The good intentions you have don't make you charitable.
All sorts of fat, well-fed, and affluent men and women (but especially the women) are able to to form all sorts of 'good intentions' over the course of their reading of a novel or their watching of a movie or play; but when the rubber hits the road and it is time for them to translate their 'good intentions' into concrete acts, they all come up woefully short.
The road to hell may very well be paved with all the good works of the people who have sought to buy their way into Heaven with their good works; but you have to also remember that it is also paved with 'good intentions'. -
