Chinatown ppl always got attitude problem. Its not that I wanna pick on them but its very common thing there and sg ppl put up with that trash and never voice out. But I feel that I will tell my fellow people so as not be be cheated by bad vendors. And its now expensive to buy stuff there and the food is not even tasty and sometimes border on unedible - ie one shop charged $6 for one very small Hor Fun.In the Hor Fun, there was 2 slice of meat, 2 squid tenticles, one prawn and very little Hor Fun with so much MSG my hair fell out. Oh I also tell my friends about that coffee shop.
So just one word, if you wanna eat in Chinatown, expect the worse food and service now. You want good food, go elsewhere. I just happen to work in the area and frankly I rather walk all the way to Shenton Way for my meal if I can. -

Trust Fugue to be so classy.
That guy is a true connoiseur, and by saying this, I do not mean that he is extravagant or a glutton.
He is rather aesthetically discriminating and I think that he is correct in his expectation that civility, courtesy and pride in service ought to be exhibited not only by well-paid personnel staffing exclusive restaurants, but also by the average hawker.
It is of course true that most of the hawkers who operate businesses out of so-called 'foodcourts' do not meet this expectation; but that does not change the fact they are ethically obliged to do so.

I've a similar experience when the stall owner show me attitude, forgetting that I'm giving him money to earn!

My sentiments exactly! Class is not by the price of the food but by the effort and service that comes with it.
