i encounter some electrical problems in my work ! please do advise me if u know thank you!!
I have a 3H.P motor. How much micro farad capacitor is needed to increase the power factor and reduce the amp for it? motor is 400v. and for capacitor which one shall i get 200v or 400v ?? -

The details given by you are insufficient for any people to advice you.
Most probably your supplier may come down and visit your site and then give you advice on how to proceed.
This is not a simple issue of just adding capacitor to the three phase motor. Power factor correction (PFC) can be carried out at the motor, the starter panel, the switchboard or the main switchboard. PFC can be fixed type or variable typeÂ…Â… -
