How to use and make swap file as ram?

  what i am asking is if u can make the swap file to act like ram?

  U mean ram as swap file? u see i like to know if there are any ways (through programs or bios tweaking) if u can use your HDD space as added ram meaning it becomes extra ram and performing the same as ram ect.

  First, I don't get what you mean in the topic.
  
  The whole reason of existence for a swap file is because of lack of ram. Therefore, swap file exists to provide a means to act as extra ram.
  
  Windows calls such mechansim as virtual memory. To Windows, virtual memory plus ram form the usable memory space.
  
  If you are a Windows programmer, you don't have to worry about that. Just keep calling memory allocation function, Windows will handle that part for you. So as modern operating systems like Linux.

  on linux and unix, i experimented using ram as swap...its faster cos less the mem cpy time...but there's always a fundamental reason why swap exists, as u have already said...and using ram as swap only when one has plenty of memory...
