Danga bay...have you been there yet?

has anyone been there before? it's located very near J.B...i was there with my wife, a friend and his wife...it's still undergoing some finishing touches, but the sea view was really captivating...i oculdn't say the same for the food at the Bayleaf though...it's pretty much like a food court, offering local delights like satay, ikan bakar(grilled fish) and even fast food (Mary Brown)...the sea view sort of made up for the average tasting food...
after your meal, you can take a short tram ride around the bay, just for RM$1.00 per ticket...you'll get to see more of the bay, the theme park rides, kite flyers, the playground and you can even take a sea tour for RM$10 per adult (children RM$5)...
if you're in J.B doing your grocery shopping, you might want to nip down to Danga Bay just to check it out... -

Something Selalu... Singa Selalu? Its got very laupasat kinda lighting, there's a huge screen for football too

it is a new hot spot for johor bahru people.
if you are looking for higher standard food, there are two better restaurants in danga bay - one chinese restaurant, the other western restaurant.
overall, danga bay is quite a romantic place in johor bahru. Of course, it can't compare to esplanade bay area.
like what mentioned in the thread, cheaper price is a selling point. -
No offence, but i'd rather pay more to eat in Sg. Don't wanna be risking my life there just to save that few bucks.

some of the places, like those road side stalls, has a unique ambience...something that sg lacks...it's the taste of the good old times... -

The idea of driving a "S" plate car in there just don't sound very safe to me. I mean, all the robberies and whatever..

btw, is the pasar malam only open at night? and which part of danga bay? the amusement rides there? i pass by in a bus during the dy and cant see much.. -
