After a blockbuster hit in his last directorial venture New, S J Suryah is looking for an encore with Ah Aah, initially titled B F meaning Best Friend.
The movie starring Suryah in the lead role has a debutante, Nila, opposite him.
The movie faced enough controversies involving its title BF initially, rendering enough publicity for the movie even before it could go to floors.
However actor-director Suryah later changed the title to Ah Aah (Anbae Aaruyirae).
Rehman and Suryah share a excellent rapport and it was evident in New where all the six numbers went on to top the audio charts.
Even in Ah Aah, the music composer has come out with six numbers including one song sung by him with lyrics by Vaali.
The songs are already rocking and is giving the right build up to the film.
Suryah is thrilled about the new face in the film.
"I wanted a fresh face who resembled Simran very much. My search culminated with Nila, who not just resembles Simran but also has enough acting credentials," he says.
On asked what the movie is all about. Suryah without elaborating says, "it is an account of events that youngsters come across in their daily life. It has been narrated in an entertaining way with enough commercial mix".
The movie is all set for a release this August 15. -
SJ Suryah is back again with another musical hit after "NEW" and AR Rahman is back with a bang in tamil music industry after a long break!
The songs are out in Singapore India and Malaysia. All of them chartbusters! Get the soundtrack now! -

That is a funky tamilmovie of the millenium. But unfortnunetely i dont understand tamil. Onlyly Hindi so i only watch Bollywoods stuff but some Tamil stuff out there is good too.
Vasantham central of mediacorp may have the highest PR out there among the rest. They have close partnerships with Bollywood and many of them cross exchange their staff for entertainment productions. -

I heard it one the internet and it is not bad. This is not made by vasantham central. It's from India. The local songs are not as good as those from India -

I was once in an Indian restaurant and and heard some songs. They looked very hi-techish to me. Those with space age surround effects. I can say the whole concept of Indian songs have changed to something very unrecognisable.If i remember they used to sound like old vinyl records!
The sound is very clear and the music perfectly synchronised.
Indeed better than some English songs. So i asked my colleague if these songs are local, he said they are not and from India. Then he said the trend now and before for over a decade is computerised music. -
Because it is all Keyboard music. Anyway i think ARR music was better in the early 90s.

Yep, the music is 10 years ahead of time. The composer ARR always is ahead of what the current India music directors are. They are only recently beginning to catch up with what ARR did did 7-8 years ago. Dont diss anything u dont know of. I was doing a course on music production, some time ago
and all of us had to take one of their favorite songs for dissection
and rest of the class would analyse the song and we would have a
discussion on the production elements. Needless to say, my choice was
"Chandralekha" ( a 1994 AR composed film soundtrack, many consider it his best film work to date).
After discussing the plausible techniques, every one
wanted to know who the composer was, and the year of composition. It
was kind of difficult for my classmates (none of them are familiar
with Indian film industry and its modern evolution) to believe that this song was done in early 90's, just when fusion electronic dance production was just beginning to take
shape. It was interesting to see how the overall texture of the song
was enhanced by clever use of panning and sound scheme, even on percussion tracks to make up for the limits of technology at the time. Now AR has a state of the art studio and one the best of its kind in Asia.
Ofc ourse now, few of them have almost all ARR CD's and follow his
albums more closely even though they don't understand a word (other
than the english words added to the soup for rythmic purposes).
