Having problems in marriage or relationship
does not make it okay to have an affair
just an excuse for the inability or lack of effort
to really solve the problem -

is worse than having an amicable divorce where both parents

and explained to their kids that even if their parents apart
they still love them. It is an imperfect solution
but at least it doesn't put kids through the long term trauma of brawls and unpleasant quarrels.
Thing is, people usually wait till
the affair happens, the marriage is completely wrecked
and both have been hurting and punishing each other -revenge-
before they divorce
by that time, the impact on the kids is almost irrevocable.
so if they are STAYING in the marriage for their kids
then, they might as well put in enough effort to make it as good
a marriage as possible. Which takes a lot of strength and love.
and giving their kids a normal family life. -
