Probable Smear Campaign Against Presidential Hopeful?

Hahaha. This Presidential Election thing is starting to become a joke.
Now we have two main candidates.
S.R. Nathan who is 80+ years old and god knows when he's gonna die.
Andrew Kuan.
Only recently, we got stuff from the media like CEO of JTC saying "Andrew Kuan's performance as CFO was unsatisfactory", and HydroFlux saying "OMG we got taken for a ride after having hired him for a few months".
Not sure whether that stuff is true or not, but knowing the way our gahmen works, anything is possible.
What's your take on this? -
If it's fake. Then it's very sad.
SR Nathan is widely supported cause he did nothing to check the government and the government is happy with this. -

Personally I take an oppposite view of all things politics reported by our local media.
As far as I know when significant size companies like JTC and Hyflux employ high ranking executives like a CFO, they will do in depth background checks on the candidates. One of the checks is calling the previous employer to find out how was the candidate's performance in his/her previous job. Therefore, if Kuan is really as lousy as what JTC purported him to be, JTC must have LIED to Hyflux! Do you see Hyflux sueing JTC??

Local MNCs??? Kudos if they did do background checks but our local MNCs are the type of "look glorious on the outside", "hollow on the inside". You get my meaning? Reference in point: NKF.
Personally, I read everything with a pinch of salt. Everything 50-50. Analysis the truth from the propaganda. Don't jump straight into the opposite mindset without thinking. -

kuan should have expected it when he decides to go clash head to head with the government sanction candidate. isn't it a bit perculiar jtc senior management went all the way to hold a press briefing? don't think they have the balls to do it without instruction from their ultimate boss.
