Singnet 10MBPS plan

Anyone using this 10 Mbps Singnet broadband plan? They're offering me an Apple Ibook for signing with them for 36 months at $88 a month...wondering if it's worth it?
Will I get anywhere close to that 10Mbps? -

Not sure about this but erm... Singtel has a faster if less stable connection to US sites and servers..
saying this coz of personal experience as well as frens who r playing World of Warcraft now... the singtel 512 sub has a less laggy game than the others who r on Starhub Lagonline 2k..
Any Gao Jian on this anyone?

i wouldn't want to commit 36 mths at $88/mth.

That's what the 10Mbps plan is all about. When i 1st sign on my 256K plan from singtel, and i download some content from oversea server, it was like 56k kind of downloading speed.
So i email singtel, they told me to download a small file to test my download speed. And that file is on their own SG server. Speed is almost close to that on their stated advertisment, and they told is me within their acceptable 'range'.
They tell me all kind of rubbish. Cannot control the among of people on the world wide net pool, so like car ... MORE car on road = slower car speed.
They tell me to surf at off-peak hour ... which is like a... am i having a off-peak ONLY broadband ... SO peak hour i'm just can use dailup kind of speed only ? I'm paying for unlimited broadband. 24hours broadband.... -

$88 for 3 years of contract. It's way too much. If other ISP drop their prices along with new promos.. you LPPL.

36mths is a bit too long.......
anyway, FYI, to reach that 10mbs speed....yes, but only in local server and contents....but if you prefer to play online games based in foreign servers or dl movies.....think it will reach 2-4mbs at most.

Heard from an informant that the Singapore power one will not be coming out soon, or it may never come out.
It has already been tested to be cheaper and better than what the other 3 companies are offering.
But due to politics, Sing Power may never be introduced.

my contract is expiring in a few months time. so, which one got give better gifts?
i just want to sign up for the mid-end package lah.(like StarHub's MaxOnline 2000).
now got what free gifts? iPod shuffle? PS2? other than that, all other freebies sucks leh. who want tv???
