THis movie is one from the early 1990s one of the best Indian moves made in Indian cinema. The music is pure innovation, something even ARR himself could not come up with such music calibre after that. Perfection.
But why it did not do well at the box office even though it had A list cast, big budget, director, techinical crew and musician is still a mystery.
Why , this movie was a groundbreaker for its time the early 1990s. At
the time i thought it would be a trendsetter for commercialism on par
with hollywood mixed with the usual Indian movie aethestics. But alas i never saw another movie with the same characteristics , theme and idea again.
And about the Chinese singer, I could not find any info on that on ARR websites. It seems she had never sung again.
