Been talking to people at stores..and so far salesmen have told me to avoid Acer and Dell cos their quality is not there. (Dell was okay last time, my mom has had 4 and they've worked well except the last one)
I got recommendations for NEC, people say Fujitsu and Sony are overpriced...and IBM, I just don't like the designs anymore. However Compaq and HP all look really clunky now.
But there was this Sony model I saw that was really good, can't remember the model number..but it's around 2kg and has 1.7GHz, 60 GB HDD and if I remember correctly 512 MB RAM..
I was even taking a look at the latest Ibook and Powerbook G4s..but it's so hard to find software for them I'm thinking of striking the idea from my mind.
Anyway to cut this long story short, let me know when you get yours and tell me about it..look forward to hear your reviews! -

but if you thing its a little over your budget...maybe you can consider that by spending a little more...you can get better quality...its like a long term investment...
somemore u can pay by instalment...so u canget your machine right away with 2k...
lol...one reminder though...this coming september...thats a IT roadshow at Suntec...i am sure u can get good deals there...
