SUPERSTARS READY TO GET FUNKY

IT WILL be a reunion of SuperStars in SuperFunkies, the new variety show
premiering on Oct 3 at 8.30pm on MediaCorp Channel U.
Ten Project SuperStar finalists will take turns to host the weekly youth
infotainment programme in pairs.
Hong Junyang, Chew Sin Huey, Candyce Toh, Silver Ang and Jason Tan will
partner William Tan, Chanel Pang, Sugianto, Leon Lim and Ruth Chua
respectively.
Fans can look forward to the latest information on food, fashion, hang
outs and entertainment news, as well as music and movie updates.
At the press conference at Hark Music Café on Friday, Hong, who has been
signed by Universal Music, said: "It's really exciting because, for most
of us, it will be our first time hosting. I'm looking forward to learning
new things on the show.
"I'll be hosting the music and movies segment with William, but
ironically, I've been too busy to catch any movies lately! The last time I
watched a movie was six months ago." All 21 Project SuperStar finalists
will reunite for the SuperStar Super Concert on Sept 30, 8pm, at the
Singapore Expo. Tickets are available through Sistic. - JOYCE LIN -
im not a fan of anyone in this show at all
jus going with the flow
being concerned abt the media happenings -
more and more such reality shows on TV..
but wonder if it's good for the local media industry. imagine ppl like JJ might not get discovered if record companies spend more on these show rather than grooming budding talents.. -
