Rabbit & Hare

Both have equally long pair of ears and are capable of burrowing.
Moreover both like to eat carrots.
How to tell the difference when you see both of them in the wild?

Rubbish they both like carrots, they eat just about anything I give them. And if I don't give them anything, they eat their sh|t.

you give or dun give them things to eat they will still eat their sht. cos if they dun, they'll die...
hare got rougher fur, less fat percentage and have better eye sight... i think... -
why do ppl keep rabbits, fish or birds?

Although the common names rabbit and hare are often used interchangeably.
The hare is also generally larger than the rabbit and has longer ears with characteristic black markings. Moreover, the skulls of rabbits and hares are distinctly different.
