Of course, it is a very important artefact representing one of the highest scientific leap in physics. One of the milestones of human civilization and knowledge. Coming from none other than a legendary genius with no parallel in human history of physics as yet.
As to the value, this is as valuable as any other artefacts of other fields symbolising human civilization, like Pyramids or Great Wall or Monalisa. If Monalisa or whatever painting by Rembrandt, Picasso, etc can worth a lot of money, if a small statue from Angkor Wat can worth a lot of money, same thing applies to this. This is Einstein's handwriting. It represents a lot.
Like some people hanging a Picasso on their wall, to feel 'cultured' or simply to appreciate the art itself, someone can collect Einstein handwritten manuscripts to feel 'cultured' and 'intellectual' and simply to marvel at the 'scientific art' significance. But those manuscripts should be kept in museums or libraries or wherever they belong, not private property of course. Don't forget even Britney Spears' clothes can fetch alot of money. And u are comparing Einstein to Britney???? -

I can't read European's handwriting. It has to do with their education, I think. I understood from a European that the school teachers don't really emphasize on nice handwriting, unlike mine during my Pri Sch (I would get punished if I scribbled).
