recently the newspaper report some lawyers had their license suspended becos they misbehaved:
one lawyer lied that he was the friend of his client while visiting him in prison another one, she stole goods worth $180 in a shopping mall.
Sad case, their law degree is as good as nothing.
...and you all thot lawyers will ALL have good future?? -

The errant lawyers fully deserve their punishments. But reading between the lines, the poor chap who got in trouble for misrepresentation deserves sympathy. He did try to do the right thing asking for permission to speak to his client but was repeatedly denied.
Our prison system is denying prisoners right of access to their legal counsel, which prompted such a desperate act. -
Why is the prison allowed to do such a thing? I thought this is supposed to be a developed 1st world c'try? Our legal system does not guarantee rights of access to counsel automatically. Remember Ah Hao's lawyer was not allowed to see him whilst he was being interrogated.
