  According to me , some religions are not religions. They are meant to grip a stronghold on society.

  i think its not important if one just wants to use their own religion to put other religions down. its not important if one uses the religion as justification for one's own bigotry and discrimination. Its just making a mockery of that religion.

  its too hard to have faith in something you are unsure of, therefore, i do not believe in the supernatural. having faith in something and having love in supernatural spirits is different in my opinion, for example
  
  1. if you have faith in this person about him/her not cheating you, at least you know that there is that person, and the faith lies in the person's character, on whether he will cheat you or not.
  
  2. however, in the case of God, if you are even unsure about whether he is real or untrue, which is for my case, how can i have faith in the things that this God has promised. this is like, having faith in having faith in god(please note that having faith is meant to be repeated)
  
  i used to be a christian as well, because i was mainly forced into it, coming from a christian school, i thought that everyone was christian and there was nothing else. and then as i grew older, i realised that to me, religions are just too heavily based on faith.
  
  back to the topic question, i believe that having a religion is not extremely important, in my opinion, it is important to people because of the values that are being taught. yes, i cherish the values that are being thought, but i dont see a reason in spending fridays at mosques, praying 6 times a day, or even going to church, having cell group meetings. also, having to abstain from beef or pork.

  having a religion means 20% of my salary goes to the church funds but the chance to see gals wearing skimpy clothes during sunday church is more than enuff to offside this.
