actually malay dudes haniging in the void decks cannot be classified as gangsters.. think they belong to their own group called malay boys.
actually they are harmless. thats only if u stay in a hdb flat without aircon trying to sleep at 9pm. the chinese gangsters are more entu in fighting fr what i see.
lets just say without these malay guys, our hdb estates dont have the feel they have. -

they are ok lah....my block always got one...then they will look at u for awhile but no harm one....but....as an ex-cop, i always ensure i dun see them standing up simultaneously when my back is turned....

no lah, those are not really malay ah-bengs lah.
they are just down-to-earth and humble malay guys who just want to chil lout and hang around. i don't see any problem with that.
also, real malay gangsters not that ruthless one. u can still negotiate and talk with them.
u all got go Bedok town centre area? there got a lot of ah-lians and ah-bengs, i tell you. saw three ah-lians doing nothing but slacking under the pasam-malam area there. actually, ah-lians are cool in their own ways lah, and i like that and respect them a lot. not in terms of finance or careers lah, but they got more attitude and character. -
