Reporter (genearl degree) - $1,500
Lawyer - $1,677
Retail line Management trainee - $1,000 - $1,400
Port Container Machine Operator - $1,600
Auditor - $1,750
Bank credit officer - $1,500
Bank Teller - $680
Biotech lab technologist(diploma) - $800 - $1,400
Architect - $2,000
Civil Engineer - $1,970
Electronics Engineer (diploma) - $1,130

actually the starting pay for doctors are not that attractive at all....i believe is ard 2k plus........and they need to do shift work too......but their yearly increment can be close to 1k.......plus if u go into specialise fields than........BIG BUCKS loh........
for lawyers is worse i think.......they earn ard 2k plus also......it is when they are more senior and take on bigger cases then the money starts flowing in........
actually the military pays its men quite well.........a normal degree holder holding a rank of cpt can easily fetch 3.5k. last time my spec who has only o level earns ard 1.8k........so actually pays very well........I would have signed on if I am not tired of army life.....haha

last time the starting pay might be lower
but sure got fast increment every year -
doctors are only rich if they have their own practice. if not they are just high paid professionals

I can testify to that. I got two relatives in that line. They are drawing close to wat I am drawing. Actually most of their pay is the flying allowances. Their basic salary very low. Look at during SARS period when they dun get to fly, they take back so pathetic sum. And their career is fly to ard 35 yrs old? Afterwhich more younger ladies take over and old are relegated to ground work?
It is a short term career but if they can save money during this period, they may be their own boss of some beauty salons or watever businesses after they left the airlines.
So look back Kelly earn quite a lot leh but recent preparation for Superstar deprive her of flying allowances so I think now this and last month take back only a little basic only maybe ?
