whats the difference. not like they'd have the guts to shoot anyway. most are NSFs who don't wanna jepordize their post-NS life with a missed shot...i personally think that they should be equiped with pepper spray and fart bombs...should prove to be more useful.

Right... This is Singapore. First to get a gun is almost impossible. Then we have a law, the police can fire if they feel their life is threaten, so if an uncle take a broom stick and charged at the officer, he can shoot. Then the onus is on the victim to prove that he id not intimidating at that moment. So, there is no way you are going to have a gunfight. You may get one if one of the policeman go amok or something like this. But in Singapore, a policeman is likely to put the trigger on himself than to his colleague.
As such, there is no cause for worry about gun fight. The police is already well equipped..... and protectecd.... -
They should carry AK-74 5.45mm assault rifles with hollow-point bullets which rip through flesh and cause great agony before dying. Good against snatch-thieves and pickpockets who think that they can run very fast...
Not forgetting RPG-16s with thermobaric (fuel-air) warheads for use against possible rioters... Would be great to see some ah-bengs at Orchard Rd get incinerated...

Automatic has more firepower but jams more, revolver less rounds to go about, but almost no jam... So if u're a sharpshooter, one round from revolver is enough, no need to spray rounds using an automatic! haha.
