Anyway , Singapore very small only , how much more can a "BIG Round" cost you ? Especially within the City area ?
Just for your info .... from Jurong West St.91 to Changi Airport = $22 the most , how much the rest of Singapore can cost you ?
Principle again ? Nutz la you people . -
Good commuters usually gets a better service from taxi drivers , trust me .
How good ? It's up to you to rate yourself , taxi-drivers can't rate u .
That's all i want to say . -
guys.. you all should know that being a taxi driver isnt that all easy.
imagine the no. of buildings he have to memorise. imagine the no. of roads they have to memorise.
u go into a cab, tell him the place u want to go. he has to think of the fastest way ASAP. not easy you know.
and for the person who wanted to go to TJC but the taxi driver drove you to TPJC, why didnt you show him the way to TJC then? you yourself dont know, still want to complain. -
hi.. i think both of u got it wrong... not all of us think that taxi drivers suck.. of coz we understand that being a taxi driver aint easy... we do have pleasant experiences with them too.. but hey sometimes there are exceptions... i mean there are taxi drivers who are really quite xia lan n dishonest and try to find the chance to drive an extra mile just to kapok some more cash.. rite? some of us are just suay to have encountered such drivers... so ya.. not all the taxi drivers r like as perfect as u see them... we're just here to share about some of the bad experiences we had with taxi drivers in the past.. see the thread topic?

Well , the shorter route might not be the quickest route , due to traffic lights here and there ...... so must tell drivers la .
For example ..... Suntec to Tampines .... the shortest route is Nicholl Highway , but do you like those traffic lights and jam at Paya Lebar area ? Or you want to pay a bit more for ECP , say $1.50 , just to reach Tampines 15mintues earlier ?
Both party must come to an agreement before the journey starts , or it end up with dispute here and there . -

However, I also know that as a service provider, you should also treat your customers graciously no matter how unreasonable they are. I can understand if taxi drivers don't know every single location in Singapore, but I don't understand taxi drivers who curse and swear at me even though I'm trying to be reasonable.

my father is a part-time taxi driver. He has a no accident record on m/cycles and cars for a good 30+ years already.
he has told me a few stories on terribly disgusting passengers. some were arrogant. but, it was clear who were more arrogant. the affluent ones.
once, he took a passenger frm Tampines Mall. the passenger said, "Flora Road". my dad said he said it in such a chinese way ah.. like... "Flola Load" get what i mean? so, my dad wanted to confirm whether his Flola Load is really Flora Road. and the person, as quoted by my dad said... "Flola Load ah! Only one Flola Load in Singapore wad!"
second, my dad signalled and wanted to filter right. he saw the car was pretty far away. when he filtered right, the car was a good 10metres away at the same speed as my dad. the car behind honked at him. after overtaking the car that blocked my dad's path, my dad filtered left. the car caught up with my dad on my dad's right and pointed his middle finger at my dad. that car.. was a Lexus RX300.
now, we shudder at the thought of what would happen if the income gap in Singapore widens. -

taxi-drivers r not easy la sometimes...even more so if they pick-up unreasonable or arrogant passengers...tis is y s'poreans r looked down by other countries...like to look down on ppl once got money...wonder how schs taught them...
