A.R. Rahman, Musician: "Millennium Development Goals are actually to end poverty. THey are all connected and the ultimate goal is to end poverty. Single drops make a clean ocean and then we as single persons have the power to change things and then we are united, and then we push our governments to do what they have to do for us.
Every year 2 million people are dying of Tuberculosis and there's been a cure for 40 years, and its quite a shame actually becuase the governments are not putting things together for people to access the medicines.
We are the first generation that can end poverty and we refuse to miss this opporunity. We have no time to lose. People are dying, children are dying, so do something now. No excuses, promises must be kept. All our voices together is going to make it happen. We are 6 billion voices and the world will do what we say. Only with your voice."
