pain after wearing contact lens for some time

my left eye experiences pain after a few hours of wearing contact lens. for the first few hours it can be totally fine. then the pain will suddenly come and it will be totally irritating, esp when i am outside. and it happens only to my left eye, and only after some time...
also, the pain will also affect my removing the lens from my left eye. touching certain parts of the lens and hence the eye will induce pain too...
wat is happening ah? i have been wearing lenses for close to one year. strange thing is this problem never happened when i first started wearing lenses. it only happened some time later, and also for no apparent reason.

gee... go see ur optician right away ? is there any redness in ur eye?

irritation loh. maybe 1 eye lash just drop in. common lah

Its possible your eyes are too dry .. try the eye drip made to work with contact len. The other way is to blink your eyes more often -
is ur lens having hairline crack? wrong degress for the contact?

i not very experienced la.. only wore contacts for 2 yrs -- permanent and monthly...
maybe u wan to take out the problematic len and rinse it, then examine/observe at it under bright light. i suspect its got a crack. probly ur nail accidentally tore it lor... could be as small as a dot.. it can be jus a slash over the len which u mistaken for a speck of dust...
but pain after a few hrs ? hm.. this is new to me -
u normally wear for long hrs is it? or lazy to clean the lenses properly b4 n after use?
switch to glasses n see if pain persist next few days..if still pain, go make appointment with specialist.. -

i normally wear for half a day. but the pain usually comes a few hours after wearing. and i always wash properly and store properly after each use leh. -
your eye cld be allergic to contact lens. This happened to my friend. She wore lens for q some time already then her eye started to hurt after a few hours of wearing. The doc examined her eye (u noe, the doc flipped her eyelid inside out kinda thing) and said the inside of her lid was developing specks (dunno wats the medical term). So the safest thing is for u to see a doctor to check ya

I use to wear them fine...until I feel asleep in them, as i did not go home. Then the prob starts.
After that my eye turn red after wearing for 8 hours...then the lens got 'lost' inside the eye as protein starts to build up very easily from the lens. Now I cannot wear for long at all except in playing in water theme parks or swimming pool. -

but i have stopped wearing them...nw wearing glasses..only wear them on certain occasions...no pain after that..
so i guess it cld be strained, irritation/infection...
but its best to see a specialist if u still feel pain even after wearing glasses for few days... -

Only 1 pair of eyes. Better to be careful

Hmm...I know mine would get irritated should the air be too dry Like Air-con rooms...
