What do you think of someone who calls himself an investor (note: he's very young... probably early 30s maximum)?
But he very ngeow. Friends do business, ask him to buy one or two product, he doesn't even buy one just to ying chou.
No car. Always take MRT or taxi.
Wedding angpao, he gives about $60, while his friends gave him $100 at his wedding last time.
Ask him doing what job now, he will beat about the bush but at same time try to sound big time.
I know this person. I intro him to my other friends. He kept name dropping saying that he knows the M1 CEO lah, always play golf with dunno Starhub or what CEO lah.
The 2nd time I intro him to another group of friends. When my friends asked him what he does for a living, he said "I'm an investor".
Why ah? some ppl like to act one. -

He kept beating about the bush saying "Oh we got a group of CEOs and we do things together.. blah blah blah...." My question was to find out what business he is in. Is it PR agency, club membership or what? -

Once I was told he was a business consultant, advising ppl how to set up business (he was only in his 20s then).

If he is an executive, he should have always keep business cards with him anytime anywhere. It is an essential tool. If he say he didn't bring or run out of it. Then he is full of shit. -

As for the ang bao thingy, i suppose how much you give also depends on the hotel and table cost. If i attend a wedding at mariott, i'd probably give 100. For a wedding at Shangri-la, i'll tell my fren: please dun invite me, i can't afford it!
It isn't really fair to judge a person on how much he puts in the red packet. -

At that wedding that he only gave $60, he actually told the whole table that he's doing big business. The wedding is held at some 5 star place somemore.
