I have plenty of frens who went for the same minor op and ended up worse for it instead of better.
What they do is actually make a small insertion into your nazel pathways and suck out your mucus. Then they sterilize and do general cleaning before sealing the hole.
Take note: they DO NOT STRAIGHTEN your crooked nose bridge, which is the primary reason why most asians have sinus.
Hence this operation may not be the best option to take.
Actually this was my third opinion liao.
The doc says each side of my nostrils got something blocking (like a swell) and when irritate, they get even more swollen and cause blockage in my breathing. This is exactly what is happening whenever I go to a dusty place. Once, I got a very good paying job which requires me to visit construction sites. But due to the dust, my nose became blocked and even months of medication could not help. In the end, I had to quit this job and forgo that kind of pay.... sob sob. That was the first time I consulted the ear/nose/throat specialist who advised me to get operated. But that one was a private practitioner and his price can chop my neck one. So I put that on hold. Now this problem has come back due to stress and many other things. Last month, one doc advised me the same thing, but she's not a specialist. So today I made a trip down to the hospital and told the doc that I want to get it done as soon as possible.
Actually this is a very minor surgery which only use laser to strink the lumps. I actually requested for a major surgery to snip it off cuz I wanted a permenant effect. The laser one might come back, like what you say. But the doc advised me against it. So I decided to take her advise lor.
Luckily there is no need to straighten my bone. She said my bones are pretty straight (yayyy!!!). My bro was not so lucky. His is crooked and has to gone thru a stay in operation.
